I am currently in US on client side and I faced the Hacktool.Rootkit last week , I had to spare my weekend in the removal of this. And forgive me in advance, I'm computer ignorant, so you're going to have to speak in layman terms with me. It's hiding itself as> "msdirectx.sys" in my c:\documents and settings\"username" folder.> Norton can't remove it at all which is anoying. Everything came up clean. i use this and malwarebites anti-malware to protect my system files cos norton 360 can't detect some of those threath.  The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for It's hiding itself as "msdirectx.sys" in my c:\documents and settings\"username" folder.
